The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into SRD a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider place established for intervention ordeals a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
